A courageous young girl from Leswalt celebrated the end of two years of cancer treatment by switching on the Christmas lights at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. Eight-year-old Emma Shirley had the honour of turning on the lights on Friday, coinciding with the day she visited the hospital to ring the bell signifying the completion of her leukaemia treatment.
