Airdrie’s Tudor Hotel re-opening this week following refurbishment


Airdrie’s Tudor Hotel is set to reopen this week after undergoing a refurbishment to mark its 80th anniversary. Recently acquired by Mohan Singh Aujla, the 20-bedroom hotel has received a complete makeover with updated decor and improved facilities. The function rooms and restaurant have been redesigned with a vibrant layout, while the kitchen now boasts new state-of-the-art equipment to cater to 170 covers with a diverse menu range.

Despite the refurbishment, all existing staff members have been retained, with plans to expand the team by creating up to 20 new positions across various departments including the hotel, reception, and dining areas. Aujla expressed his excitement about managing the beloved local landmark, stating, “We’ve expanded our menu offering to include Italian, Scottish, and Indian dishes, along with a new full range of Cremco Fish and Chips.”

The hotel aims to provide freshly prepared, locally sourced food on-site, introducing lunch specials, pre-theatre menus, and a Christmas menu to delight guests throughout the festive season. Additionally, two on-site function rooms and Harry’s Bar are currently undergoing redecoration to enhance the overall guest experience.

A soft launch event is scheduled for November 14, allowing the public to experience the newly refurbished venue firsthand. Aujla emphasized their commitment to upholding the Tudor Hotel’s legacy and expressed pride in retaining all existing staff while creating new job opportunities to meet the growing demand for enhanced services.
