Ayr after school club graded ‘good’ and adequate’ by inspectors


Forehill After School Club in Ayr has received positive feedback from inspectors, being graded as ‘good’ and ‘adequate’. The Care Inspectorate conducted an unannounced visit to the club located within Forehill Primary School on Cessnock Place in October, with the findings recently made public.

In the assessment, the quality indicators related to the staff team and setting received a ‘good’ grade, while the indicators concerning leadership, care, play, and learning were rated as ‘adequate’. The club is registered to accommodate a maximum of 32 children during term time and up to 48 children during holidays.

They also noted that the children were confident and happy during playtime throughout most of the inspection. The club had made recent improvements to its outdoor area, including the addition of outdoor furniture, a play cabin, and various loose parts.
