Cops seize ‘£200k worth of cocaine’ on M74 in Lanarkshire after van pulled over

Police in Lanarkshire have seized cocaine with an estimated street value of £200,000 after stopping a van on the M74. The Citroen Berlingo van was pulled over on the M74 northbound near Larkhall at around 11.35pm on Monday, December 2. Following a search of the vehicle, officers discovered five kilograms of cocaine. A 41-year-old man is set to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday, December 4 in connection with the seizure.
Detective Superintendent Steven Elliott commended the significant recovery, stating that it disrupts the supply of illegal drugs and showcases the ongoing commitment to tackling the harm caused by drugs in communities.
