The meeting was set to discuss an application from the RWD group to develop the former Black Loch Fishery, with an agent present to speak on their behalf. However, due to regulations requiring decisions on site visits to be made collectively by the committee, any potential resolution had to be postponed. This left many disappointed, including applicants and councillors hoping to voice their opinions.

Councillor James Kerr raised concerns about the extensive delays in processing planning applications, emphasising the impact on people’s lives waiting for decisions. The next committee meeting is scheduled for January, further prolonging the uncertainty for those involved in the applications under review. Additionally, an application to build two industrial units in Denny was also deferred, affecting the applicant, Chris Verrechia, and local councillor Brian McCabe.
