Gangland thugs tortured and killed dad over missing drug delivery

In one of the most brutal killings that Liverpool has ever seen, gangland thugs tortured and killed a father over a missing drug delivery. The victim, Joseph McKeever, was interrogated by the criminals over £900,000 of missing cannabis after a drug importation went awry. When Mr McKeever did not provide the answers they sought, he suffered unimaginable torment before his body was discovered in the boot of a burning car on wasteland off Wyre Road in Everton.

The police found Mr McKeever’s battered body with severe injuries including shattered kneecaps, broken eye sockets, brain damage, a crushed voice box, and evidence of strangulation. The investigation led to the arrest and eventual conviction of six men involved in the sickening death of Mr McKeever. The gang involved in the brutal killing lacked any trace of humanity and even targeted the wrong man in their quest for retribution.

The chain of events leading to Mr McKeever’s murder began with a cannabis seizure in East Sussex, where a significant amount of cannabis was discovered in a lorry claiming to carry vegetable produce. The seizure led to a series of events involving Mr McKeever and his associates, ultimately culminating in his horrific death at the hands of the ruthless gang.

During three separate trials, five individuals were found guilty of playing various roles in Mr McKeever’s death. The orchestrator of the savage attack, Lee Knox, was found guilty of murder and false imprisonment. Other perpetrators, including Jamie Grimes, Karl Kelly, Darren Colecozy, and Anthony Wales, were also convicted of their involvement in the heinous crime.

The court proceedings revealed chilling details of the torture and murder of Mr McKeever, shedding light on the brutality and lack of remorse displayed by the perpetrators. Each convicted individual received sentences reflecting the severity of their actions, with Knox sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 30 years.

The shocking case serves as a stark reminder of the depths of depravity that some individuals are capable of, and the importance of justice in holding such criminals accountable for their heinous acts. It also highlights the dedication and commitment of law enforcement in ensuring that those responsible for such atrocities face the full consequences of their actions.
