In one of the most brutal killings that Liverpool has ever seen, gangland thugs tortured and killed a father over a missing drug delivery. The victim, Joseph McKeever, was interrogated by the criminals over £900,000 of missing cannabis after a drug importation went awry. When Mr McKeever did not provide the answers they sought, he suffered unimaginable torment before his body was discovered in the boot of a burning car on wasteland off Wyre Road in Everton.

The police found Mr McKeever’s battered body with severe injuries including shattered kneecaps, broken eye sockets, brain damage, a crushed voice box, and evidence of strangulation.
