Prior to the incident on Calder Road, reports emerged of youths targeting cars in Niddrie. A resident in Sighthill captured footage of a large group passing their home with what appeared to be fireworks and baseball bats. Footage shared on social media showed riot cops chasing the youths on Calder Road, with reports of road signs and railings being thrown onto the tarmac.
