Man arrested after police seize £95k worth of heroin from Lanarkshire properties

A man has been arrested and charged after police recovered £95,000 worth of heroin from properties across Lanarkshire. Police officers acting under warrant searched addresses in Catherine Way, Taylor Avenue, and Sherry Avenue in Motherwell, as well as in Arbuckle Road in Plains. Heroin worth an estimated street value of £95,000 was recovered, and over £20,000 in cash was seized during the searches.

The 54-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the drug seizure. He was later released to appear in court at a later date. Detective Inspector Scott Robertson commented on the operation, stating, “This is a significant recovery which will impact heavily on those involved in this type of criminality.” He emphasised the commitment of the police to combat serious organised crime in the country.
