Murder arrest after man, 65, dies after block of flats incident


An arrest has been made on suspicion of murder following the death of a 65-year-old man after an incident at a block of flats. The tragic incident occurred at an address on Spellow Lane in Walton, Liverpool, prompting emergency services to respond to reports of a concern for safety at around 6.10pm. The victim was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately passed away shortly after arrival. Medics attempted emergency treatment and CPR, but were unable to save the man. A 52-year-old man from Toxteth was arrested nearby on suspicion of murder and has been taken to a police station for questioning by detectives.

The authorities have launched an investigation into the man’s death, which is currently being treated as unexplained. Forensic officers have arrived at the scene on Spellow Lane, near Goodison Park, where police and forensics have been seen working at a block of flats with a cordon in place. House-to-house inquiries are also being conducted by detectives, who will be reviewing CCTV footage from the area as part of their investigation.
