New Falkirk beer hall close to the finish line for Festive opening

A new craft beer hall in Falkirk is nearing completion for a festive opening after receiving support through crowdfunding. Craft brewer Andrej Rafaj is close to realizing his dream of launching a new craft beer and music venue called The Rock Bottom. The venue, located at Unit 5, The Arcade, Callendar Riggs, is currently awaiting final approval from the building standards team before it can open its doors to the public.
Last month, Falkirk Council’s licensing board granted an occasional license for The Rock Bottom on the condition that all construction work is completed and approved by the council’s building standards team. Although the work was not finished in time for the initial deadline, Mr. Rafaj provided assurance that the venue is very close to completion during a recent board meeting.
The building warrant for The Rock Bottom has been approved, and an inspector is scheduled to visit the venue for a final inspection. If everything goes smoothly and all necessary certifications are in place, a building standards officer mentioned that the certificate could be issued on the same day. The latest occasional license for the venue was granted with restrictions on the number of patrons allowed and no entry for children at this time.
While The Rock Bottom does not have its own kitchen, it has made arrangements with local businesses to deliver food to the bar. Fireaway Pizza, Sanam Tandoori, and Three Little Pigs will be offering a curated menu for customers to enjoy at the venue. Mr. Rafaj, the owner of the award-winning Not That California Brewing Company, aims for the new venue to be a hub for community gatherings, including concerts, comedy shows, theatre performances, and open mic nights.
Having successfully crowdfunded nearly £12,000 earlier this year, Mr. Rafaj is eager to see The Rock Bottom open its doors before Christmas. The transformation of the former shop in Falkirk’s bus station into a vibrant beer hall represents a significant milestone for the local craft beer scene.
In conclusion, the journey of transforming a former shop into a vibrant craft beer hall in Falkirk is reaching its climax as the venue awaits final approval for its festive opening. The community’s support through crowdfunding has been instrumental in making this dream a reality, and with local businesses collaborating to provide food offerings, The Rock Bottom is poised to become a focal point for live music and events in the area. As craft brewer Andrej Rafaj’s vision comes to fruition, residents and visitors alike can look forward to experiencing a unique and vibrant new establishment in Falkirk.
