Police launch probe after yobs on e-scooters attempted to rob a Scots pensioner

Police in Dumfries have launched an investigation after two individuals on e-scooters attempted to rob a 67-year-old man in the Hardthorn Road area. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, with the pensioner being targeted as he was walking on a path near Hardthorn Road around 9pm.
The attempted robbery was unsuccessful, and the two suspects, described as white males aged between 18 and 20 wearing dark clothing, fled the scene empty-handed. Constable Laurie Clark appealed to any witnesses or anyone who may have seen something suspicious to come forward with information. Additionally, individuals with personal or dashcam footage of the incident are urged to contact the authorities by calling 101 and quoting incident number 3429 of December 7.
