Sister of Scots mum feared murdered in Spain will seek justice ‘forever’ nine years after she vanished

Lisa Brown, a Scottish mother who disappeared in Spain nine years ago, is still being remembered and sought after by her family. Lisa was reported missing in Costa Del Sol on November 4, 2015, when she failed to pick up her son from school. On the ninth anniversary of her disappearance, Lisa’s sister, Helen, has renewed the family’s appeal for information and justice.

Helen, speaking to the Daily Record, expressed the family’s determination to seek justice for Lisa, no matter how much time passes. She mentioned that being in Spain on the anniversary of Lisa’s disappearance has brought her closer to memories of her sister and allowed her to support Lisa’s son, Marco, who was profoundly affected by his mother’s disappearance at a young age.

Despite the challenges and pain of not having closure, Helen emphasised that the family will continue to look for Lisa and cherish her memory every day. Lisa’s suspected murderer, Dean Woods (also known as Simon Corner), has been detained and extradited back to Spain. However, due to a lack of concrete evidence, the case was closed, only for Woods to later abscond from prison. While efforts are ongoing, Helen and her family cling to hope that justice will prevail one day.

Helen commended the Spanish authorities for their efforts in investigating Lisa’s case but urged anyone with information to come forward. She highlighted the impact Lisa’s disappearance had on Marco and the family’s enduring pain and yearning for answers. Despite the challenges, Helen remains optimistic that one day, the truth will emerge, and justice will be served for Lisa.

In summary, Lisa Brown’s family continues to seek justice and closure nine years after her disappearance in Spain. Their unwavering determination, hope, and plea for information underscore the deep impact of Lisa’s absence on her loved ones, especially her son, Marco. The unresolved case and elusive pursuit of justice serve as a poignant reminder of the enduring pain and resilience of families affected by such tragedies.
