A teenager was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a taxi in Rutherglen Main Street on Tuesday afternoon. The incident, which occurred around 4.10pm on November 5, left the 16-year-old youth in need of medical attention. Police are appealing for information regarding the incident.
The 16-year-old was rushed to the hospital to receive treatment for the serious injuries sustained in the collision. A 58-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence but was later released pending further inquiries. The road remained closed until approximately 8.15pm to allow for an investigation at the scene.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder of Road Policing Motherwell commented, “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone with information which could help to get in touch.
