Aldi confirms new £5 fee to shoppers – for a good reason

Aldi has announced a new initiative that involves a £5 fee for shoppers, but for a charitable cause. The budget retailer is set to provide customers with a service to deliver their award-winning pigs in blankets directly to their doorsteps for a fee of £5. All proceeds from this service will go towards Neighbourly, a platform that works towards creating positive impacts in communities.

Customers can now pre-book slots for this service on Saturday, November 30, through aldipigsinblanketsdelivery.co.uk. While this service is currently limited to London, Aldi is offering free pigs in blankets to customers residing elsewhere. The first 1,000 shoppers who email aldiPIBgiveaway@clarioncomms.co.uk with their name, age, and address will receive a £5 voucher to purchase up to 30 pigs in blankets from Aldi stores.

The delivery menu features a variety of meat and vegan options, including Specially Selected Ultimate Pigs in Blankets, Vegan Pig in Blanket, and more. Additionally, Aldi is launching its Pigs in Blankets Restaurant on Bethnal Green Road in Shoreditch on November 29, with 80% of tables already booked.

This initiative by Aldi highlights its commitment to giving back to the community while providing customers with a unique and convenient service. By supporting Neighbourly and offering free pigs in blankets, Aldi is not only delighting its customers but also making a positive impact on local communities.

In summary, Aldi has introduced a new service that involves a £5 fee for delivering pigs in blankets to customers’ doorsteps, with proceeds going to charity. This initiative showcases Aldi’s dedication to community support and customer satisfaction, reinforcing its reputation as a socially responsible retailer.
