Rutherglen School Hosts Free-to-Attend Christmas Fayre
Burgh Primary School in Rutherglen is gearing up to host a festive Christmas Fayre that is open to everyone in the community. The event, organized by the Buddies of Burgh parent council, will showcase a variety of stalls offering a wide range of items for sale. From locally produced honey and wax melts to floral wreaths, glass art, crystals, and personalized Christmas decorations, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
For the younger attendees, there will be a Christmas scavenger hunt, a chance to score a goal past a festive elf, and the opportunity to snap a magical picture inside a snow globe with friends and family. The school’s Christmas café will also be open, serving hot chocolate and mince pies for a cozy treat.
The Christmas Fayre will take place on Thursday, November 28 from 1.15pm to 4pm at Burgh Primary School on Victoria Street. Entry to the event is free, and all members of the community are encouraged to join in the festive celebrations.
Marie Boyd, chair of the parents’ council, expressed gratitude towards local businesses for their support, mentioning generous contributions from Scott Munn & Co funeral directors and The High Backs for supplying selection boxes for Santa’s Grotto. The event will also feature exciting prizes from various local businesses, ensuring plenty of fun for all attendees.
