Author Maggie Ritchie will share her love of both writing and art with members of Stewartry Literary Society


Author Maggie Ritchie is set to captivate members of the Stewartry Literary Society with her passion for both writing and art. The event, titled “Art and Fiction-Undeniably An Addiction,” will be held at Broughton House in Kirkcudbright on December 11.

The upcoming talk is part of the society’s winter programme, and Maggie Ritchie will delve into her dual love for writing and art. She will discuss her debut book, “Paris Kiss,” which narrates the tragic love story between Rodin and his muse, Camille Claudel, set against the backdrop of two Rodin masterpieces. Additionally, Maggie will share insights into her book “Daisy Chain,” inspired by the ‘Glasgow Girls’ and spanning from Kirkcudbright to Shanghai in the Roaring Twenties. Her latest work features a female artist entangled with Russian spies, adding a thrilling dimension to her storytelling.
