Three talented swimmers from Ayrshire showcased their skills at the British Down Syndrome Swimming Championships 2024 held in Crawley. Cerys McCrindle, 22, from Ayr, Laura Logan, 30, from Coylton, and Alan Jardine, 37, from Kilmarnock, represented the South Ayrshire Para Swim Squad during the prestigious event.

Cerys participated in seven swims over the weekend, impressively securing six medals. She claimed two British Championship Titles in the 100m butterfly and 400m freestyle events, with the latter setting a new British Record. Cerys also won a silver medal in the 800m freestyle and achieved new Personal Best times, much to the delight of her proud family.
