Body found in search for Scot who vanished from coastal town six days ago

A body has been discovered in the search for a missing Scottish man who disappeared from a coastal town six days ago. John Geddes, aged 33, was last seen in Lossiemouth on Monday before vanishing from the Coulardhill area of the Moray town at around 10.30pm. The Police Scotland confirmed that a body was found near Lossiemouth on the A941 road, leading to the closure of the road between the B9103 and the B9135. The body was found today, Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 4.10pm. While formal identification is pending, the police have notified John’s family, expressing their growing concerns for his welfare.

Lifeboat crews from Portsoy, Buckie, Burghead, and Macduff, alongside a Coastguard helicopter from Inverness, had scoured the Moray coastline in search of John. Described as having brown hair, slim build, and standing at around 5ft 8in tall, John was last seen wearing blue Adidas trainers, black trousers with reflective orange strips, and a khaki green fleece.
