CCTV released after Edinburgh bus attack and robbery


Police in Edinburgh have released CCTV footage in connection with an assault and robbery that took place at the junction between Gorgie Road and Wardlaw Street in the Scottish capital. The incident occurred at around 2:40 am on Thursday, October 31. Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying two individuals captured in the images.

The first individual is described as a white male, aged between 19-20 years old, standing approximately 5’8″ tall. He has short, thick dark hair and facial hair, and was seen wearing a dark zip-up jumper with a Fred Perry logo on the left chest, socks, but no shoes. The second individual is described as a white male, aged between 18-19 years old, standing between approximately 5’11” and 6ft tall. He has short brown hair styled up at the front and was wearing grey jogging bottoms, yellow and purple Nike Dunk style trainers, and a black hooded jumper.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland urged anyone who recognises the individuals or has information about the incident to come forward. Those with information can contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1439 of October 31, 2024, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
