In a bid to find a missing man who disappeared from a Scottish coastal town, Coastguard crews have joined the search efforts. John Geddes, 33, was last seen in the Coulardhill area of Lossiemouth in Moray around 10.30 pm on Monday. Since then, he has not been seen, raising concerns for his safety.

Throughout the night, the Coastguard helicopter from Inverness has been scouring the Moray coast, along with lifeboat crews from Portsoy, Buckie, Burghead, and Macduff. Police have issued an urgent appeal for information regarding John’s whereabouts. Described as approximately 5ft 8in tall, slim build with short brown hair, John was last seen wearing a khaki green fleece, black trousers with reflective orange strips, and blue Adidas trainers.

Constable Rachael Devenney stated, “As time passes, concerns are growing for John and extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace him. I would appeal to anyone who has seen him, or who has any information on his whereabouts, to contact us as soon as possible.” A Coastguard spokesperson added that HM Coastguard is assisting Police Scotland with the search efforts following a report of concern at about 1.05 am on November 12. Teams involved include the HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Inverness, Coastguard Rescue Teams from Portsoy, Buckie, and Burghead, and the RNLI’s inshore lifeboat from Macduff.
