Dance star Cascada returning to main stage at Perth Christmas lights switch-on

Dance superstar, Cascada, is set to light up the main stage at the Perth Christmas lights switch-on event, marking one of the Fair City’s “highlights of the year.” Alongside Cascada, Massaoke will also be joining host Lionel Vinyl to kick off the Christmas Lights Switch On Weekend in Perth on Saturday November 23 and Sunday November 24.
The weekend’s festivities will begin with a day of entertainment starting at midday, featuring performances by the Perth and District Pipe Band, ice sculpture artists, Cairngorm Reindeer, street entertainers, funfair, and the illuminated wildlife trail. Children will have the opportunity to visit Santa at his grotto at Horsecross Plaza on Mill Street to share their Christmas wishes.
The highlight of Saturday’s events will be a parade with Santa and his friends marching through various streets in Perth before arriving at the main stage at Tay Street. The official Christmas lights switch-on will be conducted by Perth and Kinross Provost Xander McDade, followed by a dazzling firework display over the River Tay.
The main stage at Tay Street will feature a lineup of performances from Beats of Brazil, The Crom, Unison Anthems, The Owls, and Kool Britannia. The Provost expressed his excitement about the event, stating, “The Christmas Lights Switch-On Weekend is one of the highlights of the year in Perth and Kinross.”
Cascada, known for her popular dance anthems, will grace the main stage with her presence, promising an energetic performance. Following Cascada’s act, Massaoke will lead the world’s biggest sing-along party, engaging the audience with hairbrush anthems from across the decades.
Additionally, families can enjoy a Family Christmas stage at Horsecross Plaza with various local community groups performing throughout the day. The festivities will continue on Sunday with Perth’s Musical Lantern Event and a Christmas Lantern and Nativity Parade, offering a wholesome experience for all ages.
The Christmas Cabin Trail will also be back in Perth, transforming the streets into a Christmas wonderland, ensuring a festive atmosphere for shoppers and visitors alike.
