Dumfriesshire Community Shows Support for Cycling

A new multi-functional bike rack and maintenance stand has been unveiled next to Kirk Loch Caravan Park in Lochmaben, Dumfriesshire. The installation is part of the efforts by the Lochmaben to Lockerbie Community Action Group project to enhance connectivity with existing national cycling routes in the area. The stand was officially opened by Councillor Stephen Thompson and is aimed at assisting cyclists in the region.

The bike rack and maintenance stand are the result of collaboration and support from various entities, including Nairn Construction, the George Hunter Trust, and Dumfries and Galloway Council. Councillor Thompson expressed his delight in introducing the multi-functional bike rack, emphasizing its importance for cyclists of all ages. The unveiling event saw cyclists attend and receive a demonstration on how to utilize the equipment and tools provided.
