Ex-Tennent’s worker unmasked as Scots mercenary fighting for Vladimir Putin in Ukraine

A former Tennent’s Brewery worker has been revealed as the second Scottish mercenary fighting for Vladimir Putin in Ukraine. Jay Fraser, from Dunblane, Stirlingshire, has shared how he severed ties with his family to join Russian forces on the frontlines in Eastern Europe. In a propaganda video, Fraser can be seen in military attire wearing a Russian flag cap. The 24-year-old expressed, “I burned all my bridges and came here.” He described the conflict not just as a battle between Russia and Ukraine but also as a clash between Eastern and Western civilization.

Fraser, who was once an apprentice at Tennent’s Brewery in Glasgow, received a warm reception from Russian fighters upon his arrival. His journey has taken a stark turn from four years ago when he was pictured alongside then-SNP MP John Nicolson pouring pints of Tennent’s. Fraser’s decision to take up arms for Russia has led him to acknowledge that he has committed a crime and that there is no turning back.

Despite his initial resolve to stay and marry a Russian woman, Fraser hinted at a longing to return to Scotland and open his own brewery in the future. While adapting to his new environment, Fraser has picked up some Russian language skills and has expressed happiness at being directly involved in the conflict. Despite expectations of scrutiny back in the UK, Fraser remains resolute in his decision to align with Putin’s forces.

Fellow Scotsman Ross McElvenny was also recently exposed for joining arms with Putin in Ukraine and sustaining serious injuries during combat. Despite the challenges and injuries faced, McElvenny has expressed no regrets over his decision. Scottish authorities and politicians have been made aware of the situation, with ongoing inquiries being conducted. The emergence of these Scottish mercenaries fighting for Putin highlights the complex and multifaceted nature of the conflict in Ukraine.

In a developing story, the involvement of Scottish individuals in the conflict in Ukraine has raised concerns and questions about the motivations and implications of such actions. The decision of these individuals to join the Russian forces adds a new dimension to the ongoing conflict and raises questions about the impact on their families, communities, and the broader political landscape. As investigations continue, the story of Jay Fraser and Ross McElvenny sheds light on the complexities and human stories behind the headlines of international conflicts.
