Frantic search launched in Scots river after capsized kayak spotted in icy waters

A frantic search was launched in the River Forth near Stirling after a bright orange kayak was spotted floating in the icy waters, sparking fears that someone may have fallen in. The member of the public who spotted the capsized kayak raised the alarm shortly before 3.10pm on Thursday, leading to an extensive search by emergency services. A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that the kayak was later recovered, and thankfully, there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
