Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid made major change after doctor’s warning

Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid took drastic action after receiving a warning from her doctor, as reported by Daily Record. The popular TV presenter acknowledged her struggles with weight gain and skin issues during the lockdown periods. Upon consultation with her GP, she was alerted that her BMI was alarmingly high, nearing the unhealthy range for her height. This alarming news led the mother of three to revamp her lifestyle, resulting in a weight loss of one and a half stone without stepping foot in a gym.

Previously, Susanna had expressed her distaste for the gym in a conversation with former co-host Piers Morgan on GMB back in December 2018, stating that she found it increased her appetite. Choosing to forgo the gym, she focused on cutting out snacks from her busy schedule, which she shared made her feel “fantastic”. Admitting to feeling heavier for some time, Susanna attributed her cravings to her early wake-up time of 4 am, creating an energy deficit that led to quick weight gain.

To address her health concerns, Susanna transitioned to a pescatarian diet and quit drinking alcohol in 2019 after a doctor highlighted the adverse effects on her skin. Her decision was reinforced by skin issues such as flushing and blemishes. Staying committed to her lifestyle changes, she even refrained from alcohol on her 50th birthday, earning her the playful title of “the world’s biggest bore” from Piers Morgan.

In summary, Susanna Reid’s journey serves as an inspiration to many facing similar health challenges. Her proactive approach to addressing her weight and skin issues, along with her commitment to sustaining a healthier lifestyle, showcases the importance of prioritising one’s well-being for long-term benefits.
