Hogmanay celebrations return to Stirling as bash in shadow of Wallace Monument revealed

Hogmanay celebrations are set to make a grand return to Stirling this year, with Stirling County RFC gearing up to host a spectacular event at Bridgehaugh Park, set against the iconic backdrop of the Wallace Monument. The Hogmanay bash, titled ‘Stirling’s Hogmanay’, is expected to draw over 2,000 guests for a night of live music, fireworks, and traditional Scottish festivities. Last year, Stirling was left without any major Hogmanay events after the council decided to cancel the annual celebration due to financial constraints.

Stirling County is excited to present an unforgettable evening with a blend of entertainment to welcome 2025 with a bang. The event, scheduled for December 31, will feature live music performances, dazzling fireworks, a variety of food and drinks, indoor entertainment, and light projections that will illuminate the Wallace Monument in a stunning display. The General Manager of Stirling County, Jack McIlroy-Reid, expressed enthusiasm for hosting the event, showcasing Stirling’s rich heritage and community spirit against the backdrop of the Wallace Monument.

Tickets for ‘Stirling’s Hogmanay’ are priced at £10 for children/concessions and £17.50 for adults, with doors opening at 6pm and festivities continuing until 2am on January 1. Additionally, The Albert Halls on Dumbarton Road will host The Big Ceilidh, offering revellers a festive ceilidh experience in traditional Scottish style. The event, featuring The Katie Allen Trio, will run from 7pm to 10pm and is suitable for attendees aged 14 and above.
