Huge snowstorm heading for Scotland as Arctic Blast to send temperatures plummeting to -5C

Scotland is bracing for another Arctic blast as temperatures are set to plummet next week, with forecasts predicting a chilling -5C. After experiencing milder conditions due to south westerly air bringing in cloud and rain, the country will see a return to frost and ice by Monday. A weather map highlights a large purple area covering the UK on Tuesday afternoon, indicating heavy snowfall expected from northern Scotland down to Manchester and possibly reaching as far south as the Midlands.
As Arctic air moves southwards on Monday, it will intersect with rain clouds from the Atlantic, resulting in snowfall.
