Kate Middleton to make life-changing decision over Prince George’s future

Kate Middleton Faces Crucial Decision Regarding Prince George’s Education

Kate Middleton is poised to make a significant decision regarding the future of Prince George – a choice that could profoundly impact his life. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s three children – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six – initially attended Thomas’s school in Battersea, London. Following their relocation to Adelaide Cottage, the children transitioned to Lambrook, a preparatory school that costs £47k per year, in 2022. Royal expert Katie Nicholl expressed that the children found stability at Lambrook during challenging times, particularly when Kate was undergoing cancer treatment. Nicholl stated that the school provided a nurturing environment for the children, fostering a sense of normalcy and happiness in their lives.

Despite the positive experience at Lambrook, the looming decision for the future King George is where to enrol him after his time at the preparatory school concludes. Historically, royal children have either been homeschooled or, like King Charles III and his sons, sent to boarding school. William and Kate, known for their unique parenting approach, have differing views on this crucial decision. While William favours sending George to Eton, an elite single-sex boarding school, Kate prefers a mixed-sex institution like Marlborough College, where she attended. It is reported that George is keen on the idea of Eton, whereas Kate is concerned that the school might not be the best fit for him, deeming it too traditional and formal.

As William and Kate contemplate this pivotal choice, they are likely to prioritise their son’s best interests. The couple’s unconventional perspectives on parenting suggest that they may surprise observers with their ultimate decision. Nicholl mentions the possibility of breaking with tradition, citing how William and Harry chose not to attend their father’s alma mater, Gordonstoun. Regardless of the outcome, the decision-making process will undoubtedly be a complex and introspective one for the royal couple, centred around securing the best future for their children.
