Larbert petrol station worker ‘left shaken and upset’ after attempted robbery with a weapon


A petrol station worker in Larbert, Forth Valley, was left shaken after a thug brandished a weapon during an attempted robbery there on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 8.20 pm when a man entered the premises on Main Street and threatened a staff member with a weapon. Fortunately, no one was injured, and nothing was taken during the raid. The suspect fled on foot towards Dobbie Hall.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, slim build, and aged in his late teens or early twenties. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a black top, black jogging bottoms, with most of his face covered.

Detective Sergeant John Hunter expressed that while there were no physical injuries, the staff member was understandably left shaken and upset by the incident. Police investigations are ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the incident to assist with the investigation.
