Motherwell teen beauty queen wins place in final of Miss Teen Great Britain


A teenage beauty queen from Motherwell has secured a coveted spot in the final of Miss Teen Great Britain. Hannah Jamieson, aged 16, clinched the title of Miss Teen North Lanarkshire and will proudly represent her area at the grand final of Miss Teen Great Britain scheduled for October next year at The Globe Theatre in Blackpool.

Expressing her delight, Braidhurst High pupil Hannah said, “I am so excited to have made it to the final, it is a great achievement, as there were so many worthy semi-finalists. Making it to the grand final is a dream come true.”

Hannah’s mother, Lesley, shared her pride, praising her daughter’s long-held aspiration and emphasizing the positive impact of the competition on Hannah’s self-confidence. Lesley highlighted the importance of such opportunities for young individuals, underscoring the personal growth and accomplishments that can arise.

The forthcoming grand final will witness teenagers from all over Great Britain vying for the prestigious crown. The ultimate winner of Miss Teen Great Britain will receive a host of fantastic prizes, including a cash award, dresses from The Dress Studio, a dazzling sash and crown, among other perks.

Additionally, the Miss Teen GB competition aligns with a charitable cause – Together for Short Lives, which supports children’s hospices and their families. The initiative has raised more than £300,000 since its inception, with Hannah gearing up to fundraise for the charity in the coming months through activities like charity runs.

In a bid to promote community involvement and philanthropy, Lesley noted, “It’s a good thing for people to get involved within the community and to raise money.”
