A mother of four tragically passed away while on holiday with her family in Egypt. Liz Boardman, aged 40, suddenly died in the early hours of November 11 during the family trip. Described as someone who “lived for her boys”, Liz had just celebrated her 40th birthday and was known for her kindness and sense of humour, according to reports from the Manchester Evening News.

Her body was brought back to the UK on Friday, November 15, as her family seeks answers regarding the unexpected and heartbreaking loss. A friend and colleague, Michelle Lowe from Anfield, set up a GoFundMe page to assist with the costs of Liz’s funeral, as reported by the Liverpool ECHO. The fundraising page aims to support Liz’s sons during this challenging time.

Michelle shared fond memories of Liz, stating: “Liz was one of the funniest people I had ever met in my life. She was a great storyteller and lived for her boys.” Describing Liz as kind and supportive, Michelle highlighted how much Liz was appreciated by those she worked with as a support worker.
