Edinburgh Airport followed as the airport with the second-worst delays in Scotland. Travellers in the capital city experienced delays of over an hour on more than 10 per cent of flights last December, with an average delay of 21 minutes and 46 seconds. Despite being the busiest airport in Scotland, Edinburgh Airport saw 2.7 per cent of its flights cancelled during the same period.

Looking at the UK as a whole, Teesside International Airport in County Durham topped the list for the most delays in December. Passengers at Teesside International faced an average delay of 37 minutes and 40 seconds, with almost a quarter of flights experiencing delays of over an hour. In contrast, Cardiff Airport was recognised as the least disrupted airport last December, with an average delay of just seven minutes and 24 seconds and only 1.6 per cent of flights being delayed by more than an hour.
