Scots couple who take sick neighbours to hospital attend Kate Middleton’s Christmas Carol service

An elderly couple from Moray, Allen Vesper Miller and Joan Miller, have received a special invitation to attend a Christmas Carol service hosted by Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey. Known for their selfless act of taking sick neighbours to hospital appointments, the couple in their 80s exemplify the theme of “love and empathy” celebrated in the service.

Alongside the Millers, other inspirational individuals will be present at the event. Olivia Bowditch, an 18-year-old volunteer from Dorset, will be there. She is part of a charity called From Me To You Letters, which sends supportive messages to cancer patients. Shyla Brown, a nine-year-old from Cambridgeshire, who has raised funds for her friend suffering from Batten disease, will also be in attendance.

Diven Halai, who ran the London Marathon with an oxygen machine to raise money for Asthma + Lung UK, will join the congregation. The service will also welcome Paralympic swimmer Ellie Challis, who overcame amputation at a young age to win a gold medal at the Paris Games. Additionally, Christopher Hall, founder of the Christopher Hall Foundation, which promotes empowerment through photography, will be present alongside other remarkable guests.
