Scottish Government must get grip of homelessness crisis with thousands of homes laying empty

This revelation comes at a time when homelessness rates are at an all-time high, with over 40,000 people in Scotland currently experiencing homelessness, including a record 10,000 children living in inadequate temporary accommodation.

The Liberal Democrats, who obtained this data, have criticised the Scottish Government for failing to address this crisis effectively. They have pointed out that the decision to reduce the affordable housing budget earlier this year has only worsened the situation.
