See-Through Sleeping Capsules Take Views to All New Heights in Peru’s Sacred Valley

Peru’s Sacred Valley offers some of the most impressive views in the world – and now, high-adrenaline thrill seekers can even spend the night in see-through sleeping capsules that cling to the side of one of its highest peaks, 400 feet above ground.

If you’re brave enough to endure a night in a Natura Vive Skylodge Adventure Suite, you can soak up the breathtaking views over the heartland of the Inca Empire, with a package that includes breakfast and a gourmet dinner with wine.

Claustrophobic? No need to panic. There are six windows and four ventilation ducts that ensure a comfy atmosphere, and safety is ensured by having the exit portal located in the upper part of the craft.
Each one contains a private bathroom separated from the bedroom, complete with an ecological toilet and sink, high quality mattresses, cotton sheets, down pillows and quilts. The dome also has curtains for privacy from the curious gaze of passing condors.

Located near the city of Cuzco, the three 24 x 8 meter capsules are made from polycarbonate and aluminium. Operated by Peruvian tour company Natura Viva, the amazing yet terrifying capsules not only require using a zip-wire, hiking or climbing a 400-foot- steel ladder to get there, but they’re rather pricey too, a little over $300 per night.
