Single ticket-holder scoops Saturday’s £7.4m Lotto jackpot

A single lucky ticket-holder has emerged as the winner of the £7.4 million jackpot in Saturday’s Lotto draw, prompting players to urge players to double-check their tickets. Andy Carter, a senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, enthusiastically shared the news, saying, “Brilliant news, one lucky ticket-holder has won tonight’s £7.4 million Lotto jackpot.” This win comes on the heels of two fortunate players who each took home £2.6 million by splitting the £5.2 million jackpot on November 6.

Encouraging players to verify their tickets, Carter highlighted the phenomenal impact of The National Lottery over the years, stating, “The National Lottery is celebrating 30 years of changing lives. Since it launched, over 7,400 millionaires have been created, raising more than £50 billion for good causes and awarding over 700,000 individual grants.”

Wednesday’s Lotto draw is estimated to have a jackpot of £2 million. The fortunate winner matched all six main numbers – 03, 08, 13, 33, 39, 44, along with the bonus number 56 – to secure the £7,418,062 prize. Additionally, one ticket-holder matched all five numbers in the Lotto HotPicks draw to claim the £350,000 top prize, while thirteen players pocketed £13,000 each for matching four out of five numbers.

In the Thunderball draw, the winning numbers were 05, 17, 27, 37, 39, with the Thunderball number being 13. Despite no ticket-holders securing the top £500,000 prize, two players matched five numbers to win £5,000 each.

The National Lottery has been a significant contributor to various community projects, sporting events, arts, and heritage initiatives, enriching local communities across the UK.

The latest Lotto win serves as a reminder of the life-changing possibilities that come with participating in the National Lottery draws, with the potential to create more millionaires and fund essential community projects. Players are encouraged to check their tickets regularly to avoid missing out on their chance to strike it lucky.
