Stuart Hogg’s Secret Girlfriend Speaks Out on Torment at Hands of Rugby Star After Wife Brutally Abused
An ex-girlfriend of Scottish rugby star Stuart Hogg has come forward to reveal the torment she suffered at his hands while he led a double life, pretending to be happily married whilst secretly seeing her. Jilly O’Donnell disclosed that she discovered Hogg was still with his wife during a TV interview where he announced they were expecting their fourth child. The 32-year-old rugby ace was recently exposed as a controlling and manipulative abuser, pleading guilty to a charge of domestic abuse against his now estranged wife Gillian.
Jilly shared her experience, expressing her belief that many other women may have also fallen victim to Hogg. She described how they met during the pandemic in 2020 when Hogg, who was with the Premiership side Exeter Chiefs at the time, told her he was separated but still living with his wife for the sake of their children. Over the course of three years, they developed a close relationship, going on walks, hiking, and staying in touch through messages and calls.
Despite believing that Hogg was separated from his wife, Jilly was shocked to discover through a TV interview that his wife was pregnant with their fourth child. Hogg attempted to reassure Jilly that they had a future together, but she decided to end the romantic relationship when he began dating his current girlfriend, jockey Leonna Mayor. Police interviewed Jilly as a witness and subsequently charged Hogg for causing her fear and alarm over a course of conduct spanning from April 2023 to August 2024.
Hogg pleaded guilty to a charge of abusing Gillian from 2019 to 2024, admitting to shouting and swearing at her in an aggressive manner, bombarding her with messages, and monitoring her movements through a phone app. He also caused her to have a panic attack at one point. Hogg, who recently came out of retirement to play for French club Montpellier, declined to comment on the allegations brought against him.
In a shocking revelation, Stuart Hogg’s former girlfriend Jilly O’Donnell has shared her story of emotional torment and manipulation at the hands of the rugby star. Despite believing she was in a genuine relationship with Hogg, she uncovered the truth about his double life through a television interview. The incident sheds light on the complexities and challenges faced by individuals in abusive relationships, especially when dealing with public figures or celebrities.
Jilly’s courage in speaking out about her experience serves as a reminder of the importance of recognising and addressing signs of abuse in relationships. It also highlights the need for support systems and mechanisms to protect individuals who may be vulnerable to abuse or manipulation. The case involving Stuart Hogg underscores the pervasive nature of domestic abuse and the impact it can have on multiple parties involved.
As discussions around domestic violence and abuse continue to evolve, stories like Jilly’s offer a glimpse into the realities faced by many individuals behind closed doors.
