Thirteen-year-old Jack Brown from Newmains is gearing up for a special Christmas performance as he takes on the role of the Lion in the upcoming production of Wizard of Oz by the Theatre School of Scotland. The panto, set to run from December 19 to 23 at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, will feature a talented cast of 100 children, with Jack leading the way as the Lion.
Jack’s mother, Tracy, expressed her pride in her son’s achievement, highlighting his passion for acting that has been nurtured since a young age. Despite initial concerns of him drifting away from his interests upon entering high school, Jack has continued to dedicate himself to drama and acting, participating in various productions and even receiving valuable advice from renowned actor Timothy Spall.
Having already made appearances in popular shows like Outlander and The Last King, as well as starring in The Last Bus alongside Timothy Spall, Jack’s commitment to his craft is evident as he frequents Theatre School Of Scotland and ACT Scotland, in addition to honing his singing skills at LJ Vocals.
