Teen, 19, killed in rural Scots car crash as three others rushed to hospital


A tragic car crash on a rural Scottish road has claimed the life of a 19-year-old teenager, with three other individuals rushed to the hospital following the incident. The collision occurred around 3:20 pm on December 7 on the B9001 Inverurie to Rothienorman road, just outside Inverurie, involving a grey Citroen C2 and a white Land Rover Range Rover Sport.

Emergency services responded to the scene, where the driver of the Citroen, a 19-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead. The 20-year-old female passenger of the Citroen and the 60-year-old female driver and 64-year-old male passenger of the Range Rover were all taken to the hospital and are currently in stable condition. The road was closed for nearly 10 hours to facilitate an investigation by the authorities and was reopened around 1 am on December 8.

Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and those affected by the tragic incident, assuring ongoing support throughout the investigation. An appeal was made for any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage of the crash to come forward and assist the police.
