Tributes paid as cops name driver who died in tragic Scots crash

Tributes have poured in following the identification of the driver who tragically lost his life in a car crash in Scotland. The driver, Andrew Johnstone, aged 64, was involved in a single-car accident in Aberdeenshire. The incident occurred on an unclassified road between the villages of Torphins and Tornaveen, between Thursday and Friday of the previous week. Police revealed that the crash occurred between 11.15 pm on Thursday, November 28, and 6.30 am on Friday, November 29, on a road connecting the A980 and B9119.
Emergency services responded to the scene and pronounced Andrew Johnstone deceased. In a statement released through Police Scotland, his family shared heartfelt memories of him. Andrew was described as an active individual from a young age, involved in activities like cricket and representing Scotland in the Commonwealth Games Triathlon team in 1990.
