Trio of Monklands road set to close over next few weeks

A series of road closures are scheduled to take place in Monklands over the upcoming weeks. The roadworks, initiated by North Lanarkshire Council, will involve footway resurfacing and ironwork repairs. One of the closures will affect Corsewall Street in Coatbridge, which will be shut from December 4 for 10 days, spanning from West Canal Street to Melrose Place/Dryburgh Place. Drivers can use West Canal Street and Blairhill Street as alternative routes during this period.

In Airdrie, Dundrennan Drive is set for closure on December 5 for ironwork repair. The closure will be in place all day, between the speed table at property one and its intersections with Dalbeattie Braes and Lammermuir Way. Diversions via Dalbeattie Braes and Lammermuir Way will be available, with limited pedestrian access during the closure.

Yettshole Road in Coatbridge will also be closed for two days starting from December 19 for carriageway surface repairs. Motorists can use Burnlip Road, Muirdyke Road, the B804 Coatbridge Road, Glenboig New Road, and Mollinsburn Road as alternative routes during this closure.
