Two people appear in court charged over Aberdeen murder bid


Two individuals have been brought before the court on charges related to a murder attempt in Aberdeen, as reported by the Daily Record. The incident took place in the Craigievar Place area of the city on Saturday evening at around 8:50 pm, resulting in a 24-year-old woman being swiftly taken to hospital. Currently, the victim is receiving medical attention at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where her condition is stable.

The accused individuals, identified as Kelly Booth, aged 50, and Jamie Black, aged 28, stood in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court facing charges connected to the serious assault. Both Booth and Black, residents of Aberdeen, have been charged with assault & robbery, assault leading to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, danger of life, and attempted murder. During the court appearance, neither of the accused entered a plea. They have been remanded in custody for further examination.

On the night of the incident, emergency services responded to a call about a severe assault at Craigievar Place in Aberdeen. Following initial investigations, a 24-year-old woman was promptly transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where she remains in a stable condition. Law enforcement officials are treating the case as an attempted murder. A Police Scotland spokeswoman disclosed that a 26-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with the assault. The duo was scheduled to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, December 9.
